The atelier
Behind MAREA3 there is one person.
Mareen Olbricht, artist and designer from Munich. MAREA3 is my love for detail, printed on silk.
I The detail
I see the small things. And make them my own.
From nature. From architecture. Above all from people's emotions. Each scarf carries not just a pattern, but a collection of moments.
II The silk
Timeless like art. As timeless as silk.
In winter it warms. In summer it breathes. At the neck, as a top, a skirt, on a bag, in the hair, on the wrist. One scarf fits everyone, a language everyone understands.
III The name
Marea means tide. The 3 is the space in between.
My collections are born between ebb and flow. One limited edition, then the wave pulls back, as the sea has done since the beginning of time.
IV The way
From everywhere. To Como.
My ideas begin anywhere: travelling, in cafés, by the sea, on the street. With pen, brush and wax crayons. When the motif is finished, it travels to Como, where the finest silk is made.
V The limited edition
Like the sea breathes, coming and going. So does each of my collections.
Every edition is limited. What you wear today will not exist tomorrow. Limited, but within reach. For those who look closely.
VI The whole
You don't just get a scarf. You get a small world.
Packaging I designed. A handwritten postcard. A dust bag I sewed myself. Every detail is part of the work. Pure silk, printed in Como, worn by you.
